Travel to Captiva Island, Florida for Local Hidden Gems

In episode 57, The Travel Brats get very tropical. After sharing all the ins and outs of Sanibel Island with Jenny from the Boat, it’s time to share it’s neighboring island, Captiva Island. Sofia interviews Ashley about her favorite things to do, see, and eat while on the island, and there’s a gem for dessert you do not want to miss.

  1. Keylime Bistro – They have live music, amazing staff, better food, and a great environment. I’d recommend parking in this area because it’s close to the beach for sunset and dessert.
  2. The Mad Hatter – extremely exclusive and harder to get in so I’d recommend making a reservation (I haven’t even gone yet) but I’ve heard it’s amazing for date night.
  3. The Mucky Duck for sunset – we started out by getting drinks there, popping a squat at the picnic table towards the beach, and a great menu for sea food lovers.
  1. Get a day pass at South Seas or Tween Water (south seas is more of a lavish resort on the water) and tween water allows you to bounce back and forth between the pool and the beach. Call ahead to reserve your day pass or to book, and if you need to dock your boat, make sure they have space for you.
  2. Last but not least, the Bubble Room known for their cakes, especially the infamous orange crunch cake!!!!

Thank you for staying in the loop with the Travel Brats as they share their top places to travel and interview locals to learn about all the world’s hidden gems. Don’t forget to rate, subscribe, and connect with us on social media!
